Last Friday my wallet was stolen. Long story. Suffice it to say I ran into a problem replacing my driver’s license because of Texas’ efforts to stop non existent voter fraud. Seems I need a current license, passport or official document from the government to renew. Which I don't have. Or I can get a certified birth certificate which is in Georgia. This disregards the three expired drivers licenses I have (though the police accepted the most recent one when I gave my report). Or the two, expired, school IDs. Or the Social Security Card. Or the bar card. Or the mortgage. Or the tax returns. Or the hundred other documents establishing I live here.
Republicans, I am a middle aged white guy. I'm your base. If this is such a bitch for me I cannot imagine what it'll be like those worse off. Screw you and your suppression.
